Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered into a search box is handled by the outside provider that delivers the results. Rose Hill Residents Directory does not retain a copy of that search on its own servers. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, the host may create ordinary logs with an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of request. We use aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies or similar tools may support basic measurement and, when present, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical information helps operate the directory, diagnose faults, measure aggregate traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not create personal visitor profiles or sell lists of visitors.
External Services and Links
Links lead to Fairfax County and Virginia portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Their own policies control information submitted after leaving this domain. That includes sponsored results supplied by an outside company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and technical providers can process logs in order to run the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or member profiles maintained by Rose Hill Residents Directory.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The directory is intended for adults and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under eighteen. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
Virginia Privacy Choices
The Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Va. Code ยงยง59.1-571 through 59.1-581, gives covered consumers rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy of, and opt out of certain processing of personal data, subject to its limits and exemptions. Because this directory retains very little, a request normally concerns a contact message or server log. Send it through the Contact page. Public records held by Virginia or Fairfax County custodians remain under those custodians' rules, not ours.
